Melissa Romo, Co-Owner

Melissa Herrera Romo is a co-founder of West Texas Pressure Testing, alongside her husband and founder Manuel B. Romo. Melissa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University in 2008, achieving a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business. Melissa has always had a passion for using her bilingual abilities and business acumen to help others, and her fluency in Spanish, as well as a minor degree acquired through a study abroad program in Sevilla, Spain, have allowed her to do so.

During the economic downturn of 2009, Melissa began her career as a personal banker despite finding it challenging to pursue her desired field of study. She later focused on building a family and stayed home to care for her children. When she was ready to return to work, she was introduced to the Oil & Gas industry and worked as a Land Tech at Apache, Corp. This experience gave her valuable insight into the world of Oil & Gas and helped her gain formal training.

Melissa's entrepreneurial spirit, combined with Manuel's experience, led them to start their own business, JB's Testing & Supply, a wireline supply company. As demand grew, they recognized the need for pressure testing services among their customers and decided to expand their offerings. With Manuel's expertise in operations and Melissa's financial and administrative skills, they rebranded as West Texas Pressure Testing, opened a physical location, and hired employees to keep up with demand.

Today, Melissa serves as the CEO of West Texas Pressure Testing, leading the company to success while ensuring she leaves work in time to pick up her three children from school, Camila (12), Bernardo (10), and Zara (4). Her dedication to both her family and her business has allowed her to create a thriving company that provides exceptional services to its customers.
